About the event
February is a fantastic time to see our resident and migrant bird life in action. The Forest of Flowers woodland and wildflower meadows in Huby, York provide an excellent habitat for many bird species and, with less foliage on the trees in winter, they're often much easier to spot!
Bird expert Keith Gittens will help us to find and identify a wide range of birds, as well as provide an insight into the biology and behaviour of different species, with birdwatching tips on offer too.
The Forest of Flowers is lucky to have a huge range of bird species at this time of year, including:

- Chaffinch
- Coal tit
