About the event
Winter Bird Walk
Winter is a fantastic time to see our resident and migrant birds in action. The Forest of Flowers young woodland in Huby, York provides an excellent habitat for many bird species and, with less foliage on the trees over winter, they're often much easier to appreciate.
We'll be joined by wildlife expert Keith Gittens, who will help us to spot and identify different bird species, as well as provide an insight into the biology and behaviour of different species, and birdwatching tips.
The Forest of Flowers is lucky enough to have a huge range of bird species over winter, including:
- Buzzard
- Chaffinch
