About the event
Early Spring Bird Walk
March is a fantastic time to see our resident and migrant birds in action. The Forest of Flowers woodland and wildflower meadows in Huby, York provides an excellent habitat for many bird species and, with less foliage on the trees than in summer, they're often much easier to spot!
Bird expert Keith Gittens will help us to spot and identify a wide range of birds, as well as provide an insight into the biology and behaviour of different species, and offer birdwatching tips.
The Forest of Flowers is lucky to have a huge range of bird species in early spring, including:
