About the event

Following their spectacular performance of Sweeney Untethered in 2024, Adderstone return to the Forest of Flowers with their take on the life of Hildegard of Bingen: HILDEGARDeners.

This music-infused performance will take place throughout the Forest of Flowers, with the audience becoming immersed in the story and beautiful surroundings. As we weave through the habitat, we'll see vibrant wildflowers, ponds and woodland, plus wildlife in full swing.

Tea, coffee and homemade cakes are included and will be served after the performance. The walk around the habitat will be approximately 1.5 miles, with some uneven ground.

HILDEGARDeners

Hildegard of Bingen: visionary, composer, scientist, ecologist, rebel. Inventor of 'greening power' and bane of the corrupt. Not what you'd expect from a 12th century nun with migraines.

In this storytelling performance, threaded through with Hildegard's music and their own, Adderstone take you inside her incredible life - and invite you too to join her…
